After a dazzling second and two wins today at Woodbine it was clear that trainer Catherine Day Phillips had her runners ready for their first starts of the 2019 Woodbine meet.
Five year-old gelding, Split My Pants, showcased his late speed, finishing like a train, to get up for second in the 7 furlong $67,500 Allowance fourth race. Accustomed to going longer, Split My Pants was coming off a win at a mile and an eighth late last season. Owners Doug Anderson, Rita Eskudt, Peter Mosakos, Catherine’s Kingfield Racing Stable and Carnegie Hill Stable were pleased with the effort.
