Woodbine.com TORONTO, June 6, 2019 – Bred and owned by Anderson Farms Ontario, Katie Baby, a four-year-old daughter of Curlin, takes on seven rivals in Sunday’s Grade 3 $125,000 Hendrie Stakes, at Woodbine.
Trained by Catherine Day Phillips, Katie Baby arrives at the 6 ½-furlong main track Hendrie, for older fillies and mares, off a sharp allowance score at seven panels on the Toronto oval Tapeta.
Sent off as the 2-5 mutuel choice, the chestnut converted a 3 ½-length lead at track announcer Robert Geller’s stretch call into a five-length romp on May 5.
It was the second win from four starts for Katie Baby, who has also posted a second and third for her connections.
