After a shaky start in her career debut last month, This Round’s Mine, proved her potential today with a strong effort to finish second by 1-1/4 lengths. However she was placed first when the winner was disqualified in the fifth race today at Woodbine.
Trained by Catherine Day Phillips with Jockey Eurico Rosa da Silva aboard, This Round’s Mine took the lead in the stretch however finished just over a length behind at the wire in the $40,000 Maiden Optional Claiming race.
Owned by Catherine’s Kingfield Racing Stable Ltd. and P.A. Fullerton Stables Inc. This Round’s Mine was already on her way back to the barn when she was placed the winner, missing out on her maiden breaking win photo.
A 3-year-old daughter of Not Bourbon, This Round’s Mine is an Ontario bred out of the mare Tuscan Chianti (Roman Ruler) who was purchased as a yearling by Catherine Day Phillips out of the Fasig-Tipton October Sale.
