Take a Chance leaves with a Win

Take a Chance was claimed from the barn of Trainer Catherine Day Phillips after his sizzling win in the tenth race at Woodbine on Sunday, May 1.

The four-year-old gelding, by Munnings out of Gold Medalist sprang from the gate in the $39,200 waiver claiming, seven furlong sprint to take a commanding lead.

Take a Chance had 10 lengths on the field on the turn for home with Jockey Emma-Jayne Wilson taking it down a notch in the stretch to stroll home to win by 5-1/4 at the wire.

Take a Chance was bred in Ontario by Rod Ferguson Farms Ltd. and was owned in partnership by Donald Ferguson, William Carr and Anderson Farms Ontario Inc.
