Trainer Catherine Day Phillips sent out six runners this evening resulting in two impressive wins.
Coming off of a second place finish on July 8, three year-old filly Killag Katie broke her maiden going 7 furlongs in a $61,000 maiden allowance with Jockey Eurico Rosa da Silva for owner Mark Breen.
The Candy Ride (ARG) – Katie Get Excited filly made her first two career starts at Turfway and Keeneland this Spring before transferring to the barn of Catherine Day Phillips.
Kingview Farms’ four year-old filly, Pictures of You, also finished a closing third in the race.

In the next race five year-old mare, Veil, owned by Andrew Rosen, was an impressive winner in a $61,000 Allowance going 6 1/2 furlongs with a final time of 1:16.66 going gate to wire with Jockey Eurico Rosa da Silva.
This was the second consecutive win for the Hat Trick (JPN) – Trophy Bride mare who also recorded two seconds since arriving at Catherine’s barn at Woodbine this Spring.
