The Anderson Farms Ontario Inc. & Rod Ferguson bred and owned, Fragrance, by Malibu Moon – Nadeshiko (Honour and Glory) 3 year-old filly was a commanding winner in her debut in a $61,000 Maiden Allowance at Woodbine.
Fragrance sprinted to the lead at the quarter pole and set the pace under pressure before widening her lead under a hand ride by Eurico Rosa Da Silva to finish 4 3/4 lengths ahead at the wire.
This was the ninth win of the season of Trainer Catherine Day Phillips who began the day hosting an owner event at the track for new and existing owners. The group gathered trackside to watch four sets of workers before coming back to the barn to visit with the horses and crew.
