She Makes a Point made her debut race a winning one at Tampa Bay Downs March 20, 2022 for trainer Catherine Day Phillips in a $30,000 MSW on the turf.
Owned by Catherine’s Kingfield Racing Stable Ltd. and All My Hart Racing Inc. the four year-old filly sat behind the field while jockey Isaac Castillo settled her into pace. The pair made a move at the half mile pole sweeping up on the turn to reach the front at the beginning of the final stretch.
She Makes a Point battled briefly with the leader before drawing away effortlessly to win by 2-1/4 lengths at the wire.
